I have a long standing policy of setting dates up as something I’d enjoy in any other context. Basically, if there’s some new place I want to check out I’ll just set up a date for it as well. That way no matter how the date goes, I’ll still wind up with some fun. However, I’d never anticipated that a setting might actually spark feelings of attraction right from the start. But it turns out our journey through Karaoke Bars East Village style wound up doing just that. With most karaoke, people wind up separated from everyone else. There’s the stage, there’s the audience, and then there’s everything else. However, over here it turned out that one just sings right from the seat. That also means that if you’re on a date, it adds a whole new dynamic to things. We kept jumping in on each others songs, and that soon changed to jumping into each others heart as well.
